Free Health and Wellbeing Service Available in Sheffield Area
A range of support is available, from one-to-one sessions to access to digital self-help support, telephone support, and also attendance at courses to learn new skills on managing stress and tackling common problems like itch.
If you have psoriasis and live in or around Sheffield then you may be interested in a FREE NHS psychological support service for people who are living with conditions which affect the skin.
The service, 'Living Well with a Skin Condition' is being offered by the Sheffield Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service - part of Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. Support is being offered free of charge to people who live or work in Sheffield, and is available in a range of different formats, including one-to-one sessions, digital support, telephone support, and also attendance at courses to learn new skills on managing stress, and tackling common problems like itch.
Individual sessions are available with Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and Cognitive Behavioural Therapists. The group course will be delivered by NHS professionals and include areas such as managing stress, mindfulness, and coping with itch and scratching.
