Every year, the Psoriasis Association provides support to thousands of people whose lives have been affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. We do this via our websites, helplines, and social media channels, as well as by raising awareness amongst the general public, healthcare professionals and Members of Parliament.
Our annual report showcases how the Psoriasis Association's efforts have evolved, persevered and advanced all three of our key aims:
- To raise awareness of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
- To provide information, advice and support to those whose lives are affected by psoriasis.
- To promote and fund research into the causes, nature and care of psoriasis, and to publish and disseminate the results of that research.
Our 2023 highlights include:
- Collaborating on an episode of hit BBC drama ‘Call the Midwife’ helping to bring psoriasis and its treatments to a greater primetime audience.
- Re-designing and re-launching our flagship ‘What is Psoriasis?’ leaflet to include images for the first time in response to user demand.
- Holding a successful hybrid Annual Conference in Birmingham which continues to be an excellent vehicle for raising awareness and showcasing Psoriasis Association funded research.
- Reaching 50k followers across all our social media platforms for the first time.
- Re-affirming our commitment to funding high quality research by providing support for 14 ongoing PhD Studentships and continuing funding for the Biomarkers and Stratification to optimise outcomes in Psoriasis (BSTOP) project.
